Ingredients

  • beef
  • soy sauce
  • honey
  • garlic
  • onion
  • sesame seeds
  • vegetable oil

Method

  1. Slice the beef into very thin strips.
  2. Mix soy sauce, honey, garlic, and a little oil.
  3. Marinate the beef for 15 minutes.
  4. Cook the onion until soft.
  5. Add the beef and cook over high heat for 5–7 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve hot.

Fact

The word 'bulgogi' means 'fire meat', although the modern version is usually cooked in a frying pan.
